Here are some ideas for looking back:

Top is 2017 ISU at OU in football - The whole Jacob Park story and I finally felt ISU was good in football
2011 Upset of OSU - Wrecked the BCS
2015 ISU vs OU basketball in Hilton - Down by 21 in the second half and come back to win

The CyHawk basketball game when Haluska made his return trip to Ames as a Hok. That is one of the most angry crowds I can remember
Was in Cyclone Alley for that one. That game wasn't a hostile crowd, it was pure unadulterated hate that wasn't going to stop until they had blood. It was ******* glorious.

This reminds me of something I've been meaning to bring up. I've really been enjoying Grant Mahoney's and Jeff Woody's podcast this summer with the guests. If you aren't listening, it's well worth adding it. Anyway, Jeff has said several times how much he likes Kenneth Pope. So they recently had Pope on the podcast and almost right away, you could see why Jeff likes him so much. He seems like a really kind person and I was smiling just listening to him.

Anyway, he treated the podcast as more of a conversation with Jeff and Grant and kept saying that they could cut things. ;). Early on he brought up the 2011 Oklahoma State game and he said something like "You might remember that they were ranked #2 in the country at that point and if they had won they would have played LSU in the BSC game..."

And---I just laughed because I'm not sure that there is an Iowa State fan that was older than 10 in 2011 that doesn't remember that detail plus about a hundred more. I remember so many details about that game and I bet almost all of us are the same. Hell, I bet very rarely that more than a week goes by on this board that the game isn't at least mentioned. I just thought it was cute that he was like 'let me remind you about this random game...' when talking about it.

Throw the John Neal game in that one as well. Hearing the crowd chant rapist full throat at Pierre Pierce is one of the more surreal sporting experiences I've ever had. Crowd was really fired up and angry for that game and then Neal blew the roof off.

I had the exact same thought.

I always thought a podcast where they watch the 2011 OSU game with Woody, kick back some Cody Road and hit record would be a fun listen.

Wouldn't even need to be the entire game - hell just start in the 4th quarter with highlights of the first three quarters.

If you want to hit the wayback machine a bit, I think a profile on Big Vic would be fun.

Audi reminds me of him a lot - skilled offensively, super soft hands, great feet, really used their size well.

She might be better defensively though lol.

The 2017 OU football game is good but I'd also like an in depth look into the 1.5 weeks before that, or even the build up to Park's swan song in that glorious flop against a very beatable Texas team in a game that was very winnable despite how weird it was.

Was he already on thin ice? Did the other players have to babysit him to keep him in check?

2009 Nebraska - eight turnover game

lots of storylines:
Suh just being a monster
Arnaud being out
A-Rob out
members of the team being sick
CPR "So Proud" speech
CW going to the game after a night of drinking

I've wondered if Park was using marijuana or some other banned substance before that Texas game.

The way he was acting during the Texas game looked like he was on something other than marijuana.
