This reminds me of something I've been meaning to bring up. I've really been enjoying Grant Mahoney's and Jeff Woody's podcast this summer with the guests. If you aren't listening, it's well worth adding it. Anyway, Jeff has said several times how much he likes Kenneth Pope. So they recently had Pope on the podcast and almost right away, you could see why Jeff likes him so much. He seems like a really kind person and I was smiling just listening to him.
Anyway, he treated the podcast as more of a conversation with Jeff and Grant and kept saying that they could cut things.
. Early on he brought up the 2011 Oklahoma State game and he said something like "You might remember that they were ranked #2 in the country at that point and if they had won they would have played LSU in the BSC game..."
And---I just laughed because I'm not sure that there is an Iowa State fan that was older than 10 in 2011 that doesn't remember that detail plus about a hundred more. I remember so many details about that game and I bet almost all of us are the same. Hell, I bet very rarely that more than a week goes by on this board that the game isn't at least mentioned. I just thought it was cute that he was like 'let me remind you about this random game...' when talking about it.
