Why did SJ have so few touches at RB?

SJ is better but he "fumbled". (Kind of, not so much if you look at the replay)

My larger question is why Woody was only in for one play, and not at all when we were withing Iowa's 10 yard line

Woody had been dinged up so I'd guess he wasn't 100%...astounding that Shontrelle wasn't in there more. Yes, he had one fumble...but that was a perfect hit right ON the football, anyone would have fumbled in that circumstance.

THat F****g pisses me off. I replayed it several times in the slowest DVR format you can and he was CLEARLY down. It wasnt even close!. That should have been reviewed and reversed! That was Big 10 review crew homer job if there ever was one! COMPLETE BS. This game should not have even been close!

hot hand will get the most touches, White had a very nice run on a short pass and overall I thought played better today. Don't like the running backwards from either back though

Anyone have a screenshot of Shontrelle down? I thought the same thing watching it live -- everyone I was with dismissed it when I said he looked down. When the announcers didn't even address it, I figured I was blind.

THe Iowa D was killing both of them in the second half and tried to force us to go to the air. It was a good strategy for them.

Yeah. At one point in the 4th quarter after several 3 and outs in a row by our offense, we got the ball back at mid field to start a 1st and 10 and Iowa had 8 guys in the box and press coverage on our receivers. They were begging, BEGGING to get beat badly by play action on 1st down and we ran zone read again for a lost of yards.

Can't believe we didnt torch them a couple times.

With SJ coming off injury, it makes sense to bring him along building up to the real season, especially since we have a back like White.

The only thing I wish our coaching staff would have done differently yestersay was to play SJ more. White's good, but I think SJ has the edge for making the tough extra 2-3 yards.
