ISU 1997-2005.
Had so much fun in my first 4 years, that I decided to stay 4 more! And it turns out working in the bar isn't very conducive to academics.
They say doctors go for 8 years. I think I have a doctorate in certain things. But they don't give degrees for that.

*P.S.- I was lucky enough to be at ISU for our first win over Iowa in 15 years, plus the very special years of 1999, 2000, and 2001. That was an especially great time to be a student at ISU!

I think the poll stats hold up to what we already knew - the vast majority of ISU fans have a direct connection to the university (81%) and it is probably higher due to the question being "Who are you on CF?" which includes random Hawk fans who seek a good conversation.

I wonder what the results of a poll on the Hawk Nation board would look like??

I'd assume if you just flip our ratio, your looking at there's. Probably more like 30% alums, 70% non.

Truth be told, I'd rather our spread look like that.

2008 Alumnus (BS in Environmental Science)
Wife is 2007 Alumnus

I grew up in a family that was Bugeater fans on my dad's side, Hok fans on my mom's side. I saw the light and went to Iowa State (first ISU grad in the family). I also helped talk my older bro into going back to college at ISU (he's a hok fan) and he's going to graduate with a BS in Agronomy next spring.

I live too far away to drive home for football games, but I (re)started an Iowa State gamewatch group here in the Raleigh-Durham area.
