For me it would have to be Texas just because it would be huge for our program since they're the defending National Champions and would put our program on the map.

1. Texas - big time win, national recognition (National TV as well I believe)
2. Nebraska - big time North Win.
F*CK IOWA!!! We know we can beat them any year, lets start to get our name out to the masses!!! Now dont get me wrong I hope we lay it to them again!!! but beating Iowa just doesnt get you very much nowadays.

Here's another vote for Nebraska...I live in southwest Iowa...anytime we beat them it makes my life more pleasant.
Obviously Texas would be nice as it would give us a huge boost in the rankings... as well as Oklahoma (plus I'll be at that game!)
For a successful season though... I'd have to agree with Nebraska.
Reasons:
A win's a win of course.
It's the midway point in the season... a win gives us momemntum for the second half the season.
We should be gelled by this point in the season.
We finished with the same record as them last year.
We lost in double overtime to them last year.
They were ranked 25 at the end of last year.
For a successful season though... I'd have to agree with Nebraska.

Anyways, my vote would be MISSOURI, hand down. This weak excuss for a football team has had our number for 3 years in a row..and gave Seneca a very good run for his money...there last 2 wins against us have been absolute heartbreakers. It will be our final home game of the season...this is a game that we have to win. Bring that Telephone Trophey back to Ames where it belongs!
I am also surprised, and pleased that no one has said Iowa. but how sweet would it be to get an OT win against them. We would finally get that hump off our back, against Iowa on the road. It would be early in the season, and would hopefully give us some huge momentum going into Austin.

The games we have to win clearly, are the supposed "cupcakes" the Mizzu's or Baylors or F'ING KANSAS games!! If we cant win those games the rest dont mean squat!
I want Texas and OU. That would be awesome getting those two games on the road. Maybe we should lose to Iowa so our season goes the right way instead of south.

I'm glad you got it. I didn't think it was that hard to figure out, but I guess Cyclone fans aren't accustomed to thinking about this possiblity.

If we could win one game between Nebraska and Texas I would pick Neb. We need a win over Nebraska, we don't need a win over Texas. Beat Nebraska and we get a second chance against Texas in the title game.
Okay, I'll be the odd man out. I want to beat Iowa the most, esp. at Kinninck. I know conference games are the most important and all the other arguments, but I hate Iowa the most of any school, probably because I'm surrounded by all these Hawk dicks at work and have to listen to nothing but Hawk propaganda all week.
