My objective bracket:

My hope:
Iowa State (Champ)
Houston (Final)
Alabama
Creighton

I don't trust UNC. Purdue will get bounced by the Sweet 16. I'm banking on Houston because their defensive intensity is hard to match or emulate for anyone outside of the Big XII. I know they're banged up, but I think they'll do fine as long as they aren't playing a team like us.

Just finished my bracket this morning. Weighted my decisions by Kenpom, NET quadrant records, injury status’s, Homer bias, and gut feelings.

Ended with a final 4 of Iowa State (who plays auburn instead of UConn), Arizona, Creighton

I'm not great at math but I think that's a final three.

Auburn is interesting for sure. On the other hand though, they got crushed by Houston. They had beat by six to Baylor on neutral court. They also lost to Appalachian State as well as Kentucky which i don't think is as good as people are making them out to be.

Auburn is a team that no one seems to talk about. They are 4th in the NET. Everyone is is talking UCONN and Iowa State and over looking Auburn. I think they upset UCONN and make the elite 8 to face Iowa State, and the winner of that game makes the national championship game.

My work pool is going to be chock full of east coasters who've never heard of ISU. I'm very tempted to take us all the way just because I would absolutely clean up if we did. No one is going to pick us. But I typically make my bracket anti-ISU so I can be happy if they bust my bracket.

My problem with Auburn is they don't seem to do well against the really good teams.

Talk about a hive mindset from the so called "experts". About 95% pick UCONN to reach final 4. About 85% of them pick UCONN to win it all. They can't be that much better than everyone else...I mean they aren't undefeated. The love for them seems to be way over the top. ISU, Baylor, TCU, Houston. That would humble them just a little as no one thinks the Big 12 will do ****.
