So does Iowa get the bump up to No. 1, and what would happen if Minnesota now beats Iowa and there is a three way struggle for the no. 1 spot. Who would get the nod?

I still don't think Iowa has the stuff for #1. While we've proven they're far from invincible, Minnesota is still the team to beat at Nationals. They have a ton of guys that can score major points, so even if you stop a couple of them, the others will just take over in their absence. I think Minnesota is No.1, and Iowa gets the No.2 spot just because they beat us and Oklahoma State lost. (If OK State had won, Iowa probably would have held at 3, and we would have just gone down to 4 instead.)

Iowa State and Iowa both have a crap-ton of sophomores, so they're young teams yet. Minn has lots of upperclassmen. I still think, based on recent years as well as watching teams this year, that it's going to be Iowa State and Minnesota going the distance in the title race in the spring.

I tend to agree, but I would not be suprised to see Iowa get the number one spot for the time being. I think that will definatly change before the end of the year, and Minn. is the team to beat. Agreed that ISU will finish second behind Minn. at nationals. I hate to say it, but wait until next year:no:

Like Cael said, "Rankings do not matter during the year, it matters where you end up at the end"
Iowa probably deserves the #1 spot as they came into our house and won...

With Mark Perry yesterday, you are probably talking about a 23-10 score, 7 of 10 wins for Iowa, with this year's meet having fewer one or two point decisions than the six from last year.

That being said, Minnesota is still the best tournament team. Iowa may be #1, but that's pretty meaningless in December, as ISU showed last year. I do expect a stronger finish from Iowa this year..so much will depend on Borschell and Slaton's progress this year...Perry, Metcalf and Falck are AA's...Fields could be...if Slaton and Borschell get to that point, Iowa has a chance...but still a long way to go...ISU might still be the better tournament scoring team.

I haven't seen many other matches, but yesterday, we definitely did not wrestle to our potential. To beat Minnesota AND come within a match of Iowa while wrestling horrible still gives me a lot of optimism.

Now the Hawks can't stop talking about Wrestling (probably because everything else is an eye-sore).

The rankings should have been last week, and again should be this week, 1) Minn 2) ISU 3) Iowa. However, I haven't seen anything from Okie Lite or Okie yet this year, so I dunno if they should be up there or not.
