Here's my thing....we don't know each other's phone numbers and can't exactly have conference calls to discuss the Cyclones or other topics, so I do think it's important for people to be able to understand each other when they write on this board.
A spelling error or punctuational error here or there doesn't bother me too much. What gets under my skin is when a post has so many spelling/grammatical/punctuational errors that a damn rocket scientist can't understand it. What's even worse is when that poster who can't write gets all defensive when it's pointed out. If that makes me a pretentious elitist, then so be it. On forums like this, it's important to be halfway articulate.
That's well-said, and a good way to approach it.
Everyone makes a mistake once in a while. The idea, for helping people comprehend a post, is to get as much of it correct as possible.
Does that help?
