What kind of Spider is this

Two feet tall? I believe I would have pooped my pants and then immediately found another domicile.

It was probably a Galapagos Tortoise, they're frequently mistaken for each other.

Saw a 2 foot tall wolf spider in my basement when we first moved in. Preferred Pest Control has been coming since. I haven't seen a crawling bug in my house in 7 years. Also, I think the Preferred Pest guy is an ISU alum. Might be wrong on that.

Hyperbole is probably a better guess.

Almost definitely a yellow sac spider. The brown recluse has that defined image on it's back. Why it's also called the fiddle back spider. That is definitely not on the OPs spider.
