It boggles my mind that ZRF keeps complaining about who's playing after this start. Wait'll there's a 2 or 3 game losing streak!

The aversion to success continues this season for some.
I feel like some people won't accept BRE until he morphs into the second coming of Lew Alcindor.
When I roll my ankle I feel it in my soul. Then I cry. Then I limp into the woods so I can die alone.
Stalker alert - My family and I were eating at Blaze pizza tonight for a PTO fundraiser and the whole basketball team walks in. Osunniyi looked totally fine. No boot, no limp, nothing. Even his knee seemed fine!
Thank you for your service... you creep, you.Stalker alert - My family and I were eating at Blaze pizza tonight for a PTO fundraiser and the whole basketball team walks in. Osunniyi looked totally fine. No boot, no limp, nothing. Even his knee seemed fine!
I think looking at RPG or even Per 40 is somewhat misleading.I'd say 2.9 rebounds for a 6'10-611" post player is terrible over 16-18 minutes a game. He also has hands of stone and doesn't do a good job of securing balls that he comes down with. He also has no ups, only compounding that problem. I don't think one could make an objective argument for him being anything more than a substandard rebounding presence.
You are right about the TCU game, I meant the OU game (had their order of occurrence flipped in my head). He was plodding and forcing his moves, ending with 1-5 on the floor, 3 rebounds, 2 fouls and two points in 17 minutes. This was one of the games where Osun was unnecessarily taken off the floor. He had 12 points, 8 boards (FIVE offensive), and 2 blocks in 23 minutes. Why was he taken off the floor, let alone for Jones (who was terrible)? We need to be conditioning Osun to play as much as possible, only taking him out when foul trouble (and breathers) necessitate.
Jones getting 17 minutes in that game was mindboggling. It quite frankly almost cost us the win.

First, we rebound at every position. We’re getting over a dozen boards a game just from our backcourt. This is not a scenario (and I’m sure by design) where the team lets the bigs in the middle clean up all the rebounds.
Second, this is probably due in part to where our opponents are getting shots from. Longer shots = longer rebounds which is going to give more to the guards.
Last, we lead the nation last time I checked in turnover percentage. Meaning there aren’t as many shots to be rebounded. We also play at a slower pace which contributes to this.
Does <4 per game for a 5 of that size getting nearly 20 minutes seem light? I will probably give you that. But I don’t think it’s as atrocious as it sounds when you consider the factors above.
This is why everyone is moving to these advanced analytics and away from the fantasy basketball-like view of production.
Chris has stated this multiple times: the rebounding strategy is to let the bigs clear bodies and the guards grab the ball. Complaining about this is like when people complained about Niang’s rebounding numbers when the strategy was to have him leak out on the break. He’s doing what he’s supposed to.Not to mention our team will use our bigs to box out their bigs entirely and let the guards swoop in for the rebounds which has gotten our guards extra defensive rebounds.
He probably just dunked on Pemsl in heaven.
There must be some mistake. That douch-turd Pemsl will not be in playing heaven. He probably just dunked on Pemsl in heaven.

The funeral was probably less depressing than reading ZRF's posts...Just got back from the funeral, very sad and tragic. It was closed casket for his lower half because they didn't want to show the gruesomeness of his ankle.

The guy is a buffoon. He took a stance on Bob early and is going to ride that horse till the end. I'll give him credit, he isn't hide in the background like a lot of the 'I told you so, I am so much smarter than you' crowd but his takes couldn't be more wrong just the same.It boggles my mind that ZRF keeps complaining about who's playing after this start. One more timeHis and the bench's reaction to the Lipsey's behind the back to Gabe was pure delight.
