Living in KC, everybody knows ISU and most love our fans for the way they pack the hotels and bars for tournaments and games.

When I lived in Florida, I dont think anybody knew ISU existed.... I did run into a couple former Iowans who saw my Iowa State shirt while fishing. I watched the Iowa State -Texas game 2 years ago (56-0 or something) in a bar in Cocoa Beach.... the natives were simply amazed at how much smaller and slower we looked compared with Texas.... and they were very impressed that we sat and watched the whole game.

Hey MadCy,

I don't know maybe I know you. Have you been to some of the ISU alum functions here, in Madison. I go to the game watches whenever I'm in town, and I watch almost every BB and FB game. Also watch a few Womens BB an Wrestling. When there isn't a gamewatch, I watch on 360 mostly, but when I finish my basement, prolly on Full Court. Very passionate fan. Always looking for people to watch the games.

I've only been here for about 3 years, but Poolies has been a great place to run into ISU fans and Babes is prety good. Of course when we are playing better more people like to go to those bars to try and find others. Haven't been to either in a couple of months, but doesn't mean I won't be there if I'm sure other fans will be there. Come to think of it. I've never gone there for a game and not seen ISU fans. Some games they are more social and some games we just sit and watch. But those two bars haven't failed me. Granted I'm more likely to go out and watch the game when they are doing good and thus more othr fans are out.

I went to school in Arizona for a year and always ran across this good looking chick in two of my classes that wore Iowa State gear. I asked her one day if she was from Iowa and if she was a Cyclone fan. Turns out she was a Nebraska fan from Omaha and her dad was a huge booster that was pissed about Solich getting fired so he started buying up all sorts of ISU stuff and converted his family to Cyclone fans. She thought Seneca Wallace was the name of a Native American tribal leader

I live in a suburb about five minutes north of Indianapolis, and I'm amazed at how many ISU things I see out and about. In the last year and a half, I can think of at least two dozen times that I've seen someone (different...I think...) in ISU garb.

I don't usually initiate conversation, but I'm usually wearing my ISU stuff, so they will generally say something to me.

My sister just moved back to Des Moines from Zionsville, so she may have been one of the Clone color wearers.
