Trust the process. Seriously.

Injuries haven’t helped, but there also haven’t been anything related to adjustments.
Think there’s enough film out there that teams have been able to figure out effective counters. And our talent just isn’t there yet to cover up schematic issues.
How ******* hard is this? All you have to do is run outside against our 3 man front. This is embarassing.
Honestly think Heacock got overly proud of the scheme he developed and won’t adjust.

This coaching staff is really good at recruiting, really good at off-season stuff (I think), but really, really, stubborn. Like, "usually, when I push the red button this happens, but it's not working!" but pushes the button 1,000 more times anyhow.

I’ll eat my crow on this one. We adjusted and made it happen. Hell of an end to this game and the defense took care of business when they had to.

The D has not looked the same since the Eyioma Uwzurike injury. He was showing flashes of being the most disruptive guy on the D-line. That has been a huge loss.
Bad matchups the past few weeks. Do adjustments need to be made? Yes. Are we over exaggerating a little too much? Yes. Give the coaches a month to get the D figured out for the bowl game...
The gameplan was to give up 38 points to give KSU a false sense of confidence, and then start actually playing. Heacock is a genius! This is 5D chess.
I was reading the K State forums. Sounds like we were blitzing a lot less than other teams this year. Once we started blitzing it looks like the K State we expected showed up finally.
DeAndre Payne & Uwazurike out, another DB who had been playing (slipping my mind now) out, teams adjusting as more & more gets on film & also the grind of a long season. It’s long on the coaches too & when you start shuffling guys around & playing some who are not capable (yet) of playing the role as well as it needs to be played & the trust isn’t there to adjust or make large changes on the fly. Still found a way & am gladly chewing this crow here along with a lot of others.
