the driver doesn't even get the delivery charge, some ppl are so tight about tipping good.... the delivery charge goes to the restaurant to pay for the wage of the driver..
the charge pays for the insurance and fuel costs. So, the driver gets the delivery charge then? I hate the whole concept of tipping.

I go with 2 bucks flat. The only time I'll go under $2.00 is if they're insanely late, or it's Jimmy Johns. I'm not giving a $2.00 tip for a $7.00 sandwich.
Generally, $2+ is a good tip. I delivered to feed my family when recovering from my head injury 10 years ago.
Delivery fees generally do NOT go to the driver and where we were Pizza Hut said the fees were for the higher gas prices. Even though the driver bought his own gas.
To me, proper tipping is a sign of social maturity. Both over- and under-tipping are a sign of the lack thereof, imo. And it's a wonderful way to ensure good service.
