The boos after the Xavier Hutchinson unsportsmanlike conduct call against Oklahoma St. in 2021. The boos literally did not stop for the rest of the quarter.
I was listening to that game on the radio, and I thought Walters and Heft were going to sign off, storm the field, and strangle that ref themselves.
I've heard Heft lose his **** at a lot of bad calls over the years, but this one was on a different level.
The only thing that stopped a riot was that we ended up scoring on that drive despite that.
That one was right up there with Joshua Bailey getting a flag for being too excited after his opening drive sack vs Texas in 2017.
I think you might be thinking of Jaquan Bailey doing a somersault? Night of the bugle helmet.
If so, he was stupid and deserved the flag. Flag was a big momentum stopper too.
Oh man I completely forgot he did a somersault... yeah he should have been flagged for sure; there were kids in that stadium who saw that.
Im 99% sure did a somersault and then also pretended to snipe the QB
Bailey's was borderline. He was definitely showboating, but IIRC he wasn't really doing it AT the Texas players, but rather to the ISU bench.
Given Jacob Park's headspace, we weren't winning that game anyhow and that loss really helped the program get where it is today in hindsight.

Wasn’t in attendance but the Mike Rose strip + score feels like it’s up there for impact and immediacy. Few plays are matched.

The whole place was rocking especially when the nebby fans started filling out near the end of the third quarter
To this day, I have no idea what the "rule book" detail is for erasing the TD, instead of a penalty on kickoff.
That's ignoring "taunt" having validity in the first place.
Because it happened prior to crossing the goal line. Live-ball foul. Penalty enforced from the spot.
If that's the rule, I can live with it. Begrudgingly.
We can dispute if the action "qualified" for a penalty.

I still get goosebumps watching Woody punch in that TD.
OSU game to ruin their championship run in 2011. The WVU game got pretty loud. I wasn't at the Iowa OT game, but that one was pretty loud on TV. Those are the obvious ones that come to mind.
