What an awful week

Outside of the win over Colorado, ISU has been awful this week. The women lost twice- both against top 15 teams but one they should have won. The men got blown away on the road against a team that, at the time, only had one more win than ISU.

The Gymnastics team lost to Iowa to make losing the Cy-hawk series that much more humiliating, and the wrestling team, who is was ranked second in the nation just lost to Missouri.

There is allot of talk about Barnes going to Duke, we lost Fountain to the one we shall not mention, we still don't have a defensive coordinator, valentines day was on Saturday, and something bad might be happening with Brackins.

The only good things is that the men finally won a game (against a team we should beat), and we hired a WR coach (who so far is the least glamorest of all the hires).

Let's hope for a better week ahead- personally, I couldn't get much more down on ISU than I am right now.:no:

We could lose by 40 on TV on Wednesday, Craig could be talking NBA, Farley could be raiding our players, another snowstorm could hit on Tuesday, and Ed Hightower could be back in town smiling with WM.

Got a quick question for you, what has Pollard done that is so awful.

McCarney was fired because the fans wanted it and Chizik was hired because the fans wanted him. Morgan was fired because the fans didn't like him and we would have likely suffered more NCAA penalties if we hadn't, and though McDermott wasn't the most glamorous hire, we all thought he would do better than he has. Let's be honest, MBB and football are not much worse now over what they were in McCarney/Morgan's last year.

Under his watch, wrestling has greatly improved, as well as softball, volleyball, and T&F. He has also doubled the budget, done a much better job at getting games on tv, improved fan interaction, and has committed over 40 million to improving facilities. Something that desperately needed to happen.

So is the problem with Pollard, that he listens to the fans too much?

Last, I wouldn't call him a weasel. It's not like he is just trying to improve the resume and move on like Chizik. If that was his goal, he would be gone by now, we know he has had better offers and turned them down.

I'm not a Pollard apologist, but it irritates me when a fan starts in like this, when they caused the problems to begin with. I hate fans who's answer to everything is fire them, when we have our own proof, that is not always the best way.

Ya, it was a good week not to go on the CF site. It could always be worse, but it was plent bad enough, even for us guys that are always looking for something possitive to happen.
