Since so many of us will be watching from the couch, I have a feeling there will be some good spreads for tomorrow.

I am planning on frying some walleye caught on my annual trip up north and smoking some pork butt. Luckily I got some help to pull this off.

What’s on your menu?

Nothing quite like feasting on some herky wings for the CyHawk game.

(no, I won't be at Wallaby's but obviously they'll be spineless)

smoking a pork shoulder roast for slicing. Shooting for an internal temp of 185 to slice it. Did one a couple weeks ago and got positive reviews.

Smoking a brisket flat and half a pork loin. Doing some jalepeno creamed corn to go alongside.

Ribs, wings, and cheese dip.
I threw together some salmon dip recently on a leftovers night that was really good. Salmon, Cream cheese, shredded parm then topped with Gouda and broiled. I don’t know if this is already a thing but it turned out great.

I wanted to say that no one does pre-game better than true Cyclones. All of those offerings would be great. Alas, I am unable to create those offerings, but I just wanted to express my respect for the fans that put their culinary skill to task in order to provide a fun and lively experience. Every ISU event is an opportunity to enjoy our lives and experience the vagaries and vicissitudes of youth. Thank you.

My FIL smoked me some wings yeaterday. I plan on baking them, tossing them in my secret sauce and seasonings, and then throwing them in the air fryer to crisp them up a bit. Wings the way the football gods intended.

Smoked wings can be a little tough from the skin. My buddy told me they would smoke then finish in the fryer at the bbq place he worked at.
