I didn't see the prior matchup but didn't these same guys get right to the rim on us in the game here?

If so, I'd say we adjusted accordingly.

They scored 75 in Ames in OT vs 73 yesterday. Pretty even on defense.
You can say Jaden vs Tre is difference, but really the only difference in games is Grill going 6/10 instead of 0/9.
This team is certainly not live/die by the three, but it requires at least a modest amount of threes to fall between Grill and Gabe.

When ISU keeps it simple and smart they can beat a lot of teams.

Out top they just seem too 'engrained' in getting the ball around when taking just a second to analyze things a bit would help.
It seem like ISU is running a junior high passing drill in some of these games. Like the next pass goes to the left, so that is what I will do. Don't want Jones or Condett putting the ball on the floor very often, but I have no problem with the other guys taking a couple dribbles to make something happen. Again, it seems like they are just fine for most of the game and then all of a sudden they can't seem to move the ball without a turnover.

It’s weird that people flip out when anyone raises questions.

Seems a limited scope to discuss much except constantly ******** about refs

The questions seem to continue even when the team has put together a 4 game winning streak including key plays by players that weren't in earlier in the season.

It's just covering because people are still mad about a quick hire of a coach who's taking a team from scratch to the tourney.

I'd guess still some think CSP should be there because he's nice.

Watch the Texas game. It was the last game ISU was ranked and the largest loss of the season. Tre had 3 TOs in the last 3 minutes of the first half - really bad ones. Also was scoreless 0-3. Walker was put in the first time in a conference game at the end of the game. His minutes went up from there and Tre’s went down. Walker did play earlier against TTU - but that was only because 3 other guys fouled out.

Why does it mean you’re a “hater” or you still want Prohm here if you raise questions about the team?

People questioned why Hoiberg did stuff when he was rolling. Whar Edozie? The annual CF dog. One year it was Matt Freaking Thomas for crying out loud.

But any question about anything on this team gets a major overreaction.

I felt we should have done a real search as a public institution but Prohm had to go. Don’t hate the guy like most here, also don’t hate Otzelberger. He has done a remarkable job thus far.

This poster could be a troll or could just be a new poster who hasn’t seen other threads on the topic.

I think some of the adjustments have been good whether they are situational to the opponent as the last few games have been teams we have seen before or who is going to take the court most games. Could be the adjustments, could be weaker part of the schedule, hard to tell.

But maybe if these threads enrage people to this extent they could just not click on them.

Who did I say is a 'hater' and who's enraged?

There's some guys I wish played more but I also wish they were better/more consistent when they played.

I also wish the bad passes up front would come to a stop in crucial moments. That's been an issue all season and doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to practice being more patient.

What bothers me (and this isn't at you) is the animosity toward players in these threads if they have a bad game/stretch. Like it seems that people actually HATE players and that's just some weird ****. The 'get ______ out of there' eventually adds up to look like nobody should be playing.

Way up there
I feel like Jones/Enaruna could be centered a bit around matchups or who plays better in their spot minutes. That duo has gotten between 15-20 minutes a game during the winning streak. Most games, Tristan plays more than Bob but yesterday, Bob was instant energy. TJ went with him. They are clearly playing for the 3rd big and we tightened that rotation down to GC, Jazz and playing small ball. They have to make an impression when they get their shot.

Yesterday was the first time in 3 games that Jones played more than Enaruna, I wouldn't read any more in to it than Jones played good and earned it.

I am guessing some of this talk is because we need these guys next year. We potentially lose a lot and will need a big rebuild again. Need some under classmen to show us something besides Hunter to ease our anxiety. Really had high hopes for Tristian. Still time I guess.

Robert Jones finally played today but Tre didn’t at all and Enurana barely played in the second off and TJ looked like he was about to murder Tristan at one point. I like seeing Jaden get more minutes but I’m just curious. Also with how much George fouls suprised Robert has been out so much recently especially after starting. Is Robert gonna play more after this or is it situational?

This whole conversation is frankly asinine.

People bitched because TJ needed to make changes... then when he makes changes people ***** about who gets no playing time.

We are winning. His changes seem to have worked. Shut the **** up and chill.

Do you chalk up the wins to the change in player rotation or to the fact that we just played four of the bottom five teams in the conference? Not down playing the winning streak at all, but schedule was certainly set up for a rough start and an easier finish. Jaden has certainly contributed but so did Tristan and Tre in early winning streaks. It was maybe a small change of pace that helped but it’s certainly not the only reason.

We lost to KState at home, made some changes and beat them on the road. I chalk that up to the changes.

Once the decision is made, regardless of whether a person agrees or disagrees, healthy organizations move on, get behind the decision and support it 100% moving forward. Unhealthy organizations have folks who wait for a negative and then pounce, spewing all their reasons why a decision was bad.

We’ve had the biggest turnaround in school history, we’re on the verge of NCAA, and still there are posters who seem to seek out negativity. I say keep it to yourself, I’m enjoying the success.

You knew this was going to happen.

Heck, before the recent 4 game winning streak we had people blaming Prohm and all his recruits for their struggles. Actually saying TJ should have just got rid of all of them.

They were quiet when we were 12-0.....but then came out of the woodwork to deflect any critic of TJ by blaming Prohm when things became tough. It's madness.

Are they still mad that Prohm recruits are playing a large part in this win streak now? The 20 win season? I know TJ isn't.

So I'm certain TJ would be the first to tell you he is glad some are still here, especially Hunter. So this isn't about or on TJ. He has done coach of the year work blending the talent that was here with what he brought in. But that doesn't mean he is above being questioned. And I'm sure he would be the first to tell you that.

Tristan is incredibly passive and TJ needs someone who’s going to be a dog. Walker’s length is better suited for that role so Jackson’s minutes disappeared. Not everyone is going to play…we started winning when changes were made.
Also started winning when we started playing worse teams...
