Same exact thought when I saw this thread. I don’t proclaim to know why and I’m sure TJ has his reasons. But I also think ridiculous for the fan base to question when we just rattled add four in a row - including two on the road against potential tourney teams.

If we were in a free fall I think these questions are more valid.
Sorry

I think TJ is looking for what works and who can defend. Different teams present different problems for ISU. For the most part I was happy with what I saw yesterday. The team in general is still going through parts of games where they string together multiple bad turnovers. There is no excuse for the play at the end of yesterday's game. That should have been a 10 point win. Glad they made the FTs at the end.

4 wins in a row, but why aren’t the players who played 5 games ago playing ?

Do you chalk up the wins to the change in player rotation or to the fact that we just played four of the bottom five teams in the conference? Not down playing the winning streak at all, but schedule was certainly set up for a rough start and an easier finish. Jaden has certainly contributed but so did Tristan and Tre in early winning streaks. It was maybe a small change of pace that helped but it’s certainly not the only reason.

Have thought our team is like a pack of wild dogs. We’ve got every homeless misfit player and Brockington as our only true purebred basketball player for a leader. Every game is like a scrap for them. Fun to watch them fight and defend for one another, and of course it’s obvious they all like to run together
Just because we've got dawgs on the court doesn't mean the bench is a dog house.

Obviously them on the bench more AND the addition of minutes for Kunc and Walker has been huge for our team. BUT Kunc had a +/- of like -18 yesterday, which translates to we were getting **** stomped when he was on the floor. That was weird to see.

I get the concept of “if you dont play D, you dont get minutes” but there are also situations that happened late game yesterday where we needed ball handlers and good FT shooters. Jackson should get endgame minutes regardless of his doghouse status. He’s proven he can do that.

I think there are fair points to asking why players don’t get time. Kalsheur has been a black hole in terms of production more often than not. I’ve never seen a player play worse and it took him fouling out to get him off the court. Enaruna is very efficient with his offensive touches. It’s alright to ask these questions because they are obvious to fans with eyes.

Walker obviously needs to play some when we're committed to junkyard dogging it on defense.

He fits.

Walker gets beat a lot on defense, he is a work in progress, but also made a great defensive play at the end of the yesterday. He will be seeing more minutes.

I didn't see the prior matchup but didn't these same guys get right to the rim on us in the game here?

If so, I'd say we adjusted accordingly.

When ISU keeps it simple and smart they can beat a lot of teams.

Out top they just seem too 'engrained' in getting the ball around when taking just a second to analyze things a bit would help.

It’s weird that people flip out when anyone raises questions.

Seems a limited scope to discuss much except constantly ******** about refs
