To be fair, that was a terribly researched article. Hit the key names and look no further into what Iowa State currently has on the roster. We must have no one that can replace what we lost.

I can’t really call it “terribly researched”. The effort was just limited to the Purdy/Ehlinger comparison—and the writer knocked it out of the park there.

It's fine for what's there. No mention of ISU's defense, which is, y'know, kind of a key element of the team. There was an indirect reference in the "Why should WVa be worried?" section, but the blame was placed totally on them, not ISU's defense.

This is something that I find hilarious.. Other team's fans bring up Montgomery and Butler, but don't even bring up their own players. For God sakes WVU fans, you lost Will Grier and one of the best WR in the big 12.. Not to mention your entire coaching staff.

I have to point out, they did say “we have a new defense”. That’s polite-speak for “we lost everybody”.

I think they may be changing scheme as well. I have several old active duty friends and from what I gathered from them WV fans HATE the 3 man front they have been running. I just laugh at them because Iowa State has proven that this scheme is very effective.

Fairly on target with their overall assessment. It stated that we would have to struggle with replacing Montgomery and Butler for WV to have a shot at beating us. Sounds like our past assessments of ourselves prior to Campbell coming in...other teams would need to struggle for us to have a shot at beating them.

When someone says "to be fair" and they clearly don't know Letterkenny, I look at my wife, and make the swirling closed hand motion before she even chimes in with it.
