What makes you think Rocco jumps ship? Oh the drama of your dad as coach, regardless of how good he is. First bad couple series and fans saying he will never pull his son. Who the hell wants that? Plus I think Rocco is super loyal to Ames. His dad taught him so.

How concerned should we be about the West Virginia opening? Because I have no doubt that if Anthony Becht gets the job, Rocco will go with him. Saw that the Penn State OC is interviewing for the job, so that’s promising

In the current era of college football with transfer rules and pay-for-play, I think ISU has to be worried about every top player, every year.

Sure the coaching staff can make their case that ISU is the best chance for the player to excel and reach the NFL, but money will make people listen.

Think CW’s interview with him made it seem like he was pretty much the coach in waiting at WVU. Brown just had to get fired first.

I listened to that too, but did not come away with that thinking. It seemed to me that he does want to be a college coach and is taking a non-tradutional route to becoming one. I didn't pick up on any vibe that WVU was interested in him being the coach.

It is what it is. If Anthony takes it and Rocco leaves, there is nothing any of us can do. I think that would be the only reason Rocco leaves, and I couldn’t blame him one bit.

However, WV has a pretty good QB currently, so I don’t think it would be a given Rocco would leave.

Everybody within the program would be pumped if Anthony got the WV job. I said this in the yearly dumb*** Campbell to "x" thread. You all have inferiority complex issues. Rocco is not leaving regardless of his dad coaching WVU.

You think if Rocco turned down huge $ to go to big name SEC schools he's going to leave to go play for his dad at WVU? We have to get past this crap and realize we are effing here. Like this is it we are finally here after all these years of mediocrity. Embrace it, if people leave it's for $ we can't do anything about it. If you want to win and improve your draft stock we are the place to do it. Rocco ain't going anywhere regardless of Anthony and this thread is f'ing stupid.

If you listened to Williams podcast with Anthony he is totally trying to get a collegiate job. If offered the WVU job I would be very surprised if he doesn't accept. If he accepts then it would be irresponsible of their NIL not to pursue Rocco.

Im trying to think of football coaches who have gotten a head coaching job at a P5 school without having ever coached at the college level. Seems like a huge risk. Granted, we've obviously all seen it work for basketball.

Herm Edwards, but that didn’t go well.

In all fairness it’s not really college anymore. They are all getting paid. I think if a coach can coach, he would be fine if the NIL can get the players. Did Pete Carroll coach at any college before going to USC and I mean head coach. I know he was an assistant for Iowa State
