CMC wants to win like Iowa does.... but unfortunately all of his teams are never good in the details, the margins, the intelligence, the fundamentals, etc that is required to win like that.

So if you can't play fundamental error free football... you can't play Iowa's style.
It’s funny how the Iowa game has created a narrative that this staff is somehow bad at coaching the details among some ISU fans. The details won the Fiesta Bowl last year. You’re mad because you’re comparing a disappointing start to an Iowa team that’s playing flawlessly right now (and that won’t last). Yes, there have been clunker games the last two years. But on the whole Campbell’s teams have avoided penalties and turnovers better than most. The failures stand out because of how much Campbell has raised the standard.

ISU is generally poor fundamentally out of the gates.

This season is just a continuation. It's magnified when they keep losing to the same team because of it and then last week.
