Post your predictions and discussion after the poll is released. My prediction:

1)LSU - SEC myth? Betcha house!
2)Clemson - Best home field entrance in football
3)MSU - ESPN making big money off Michigan hits this week
4) Iowa - The fallback team so when OSU makes the final playoff poll the committee can say "Well at least we didn't keep Iowa in" and no one will argue with them except Jon Miller

Prediction for what the committee will actually do:

1) LSU
2) Clemson
3) Ohio State
4) Baylor

I would personally probably vote close to that but flip Baylor and Ohio State. Do injuries factor in with the committee? If so, they might go TCU over Baylor while waiting to see how Stidham does.

I'll guess Iowa will come in at #7 this week.

If both Baylor and TCU win out, then whoever wins between the two of them will be here. Without Seth Russell, this becomes much more interesting for sure.

This is your guess of the initial CFP poll? How do you come up with this? No Ohio State? Clueless.

OSU
LSU
Clemson
Baylor/TCU
MSU

I would expect Alabama to merit higher than Iowa, probably Notre Dame also. The good ole' boys will follow the polls.

Not sure on the order but I don't think TCU, OSU or Baylor will be in the top four.

I agree, I think a 12-0 TCU or Baylor (or Oklahoma State) or an 11-1 Oklahoma make the playoff. 11-1 BU/TCU could make it but not a sure thing.

What is so impressive about Ohio St's resume? Their best win is at home against a very average Penn St team.

With that stunning logic, why is Ohio State ranked #1?

- The 65 AP voters have consistently ranked the undefeated, defending national champion #1 to date.
- The 62 Coaches Poll voters have consistently ranked undefeated, defending national champion #1 to date.

You really think a group of 13 talking heads on the CFP Committee is going to bring some outside-the-box perspective to the initial CFP ranking and put Iowa in the top 4, and leave Ohio State totally out of the top 4? LOLOLOLOL

Tell you what, I will wager that if Ohio State fails to be included in the top 4 in the initial poll released tomorrow, I will return to this thread one more time to pay my respects to you and Gunnerclone, and never post in this thread again.

You and he prepared to make the opposite wager?

Because that's how polls traditional work, as long as you win, you remain ranked where you are or move up if someone ahead of you loses. So again, what about OSU's resume stands out at this point? Was it there touchdown win over Northern Illinois?

Yes, and the CFP is a poll.
