It was nice of the Colorado coach to call a substitution timeout so Ny could get a round of applause.
Kansas State without Lee lost to OSU by 30 points yesterday. Granted it was a road game and OSU is a pretty good team. Not sure if they were missing anyone else.
Kansas State really hasn't been all that good even with this dominant center for the past six years. They've been very good the past two years but even in their best complete season with Lee, only made it to Round 2 of the tourney.
2020: 16-13 (10-8), missed tourney
2021: 9-18 (3-15), missed tourney
2022: 19-12 (9-9), made tourney, lost in Round 2
2023: 17-16 (5-13), missed tourney (Lee didn't play this year)
2024: 25-7 (13-5), made tourney, lost in Round 2
2025: 22-3 (10-2) so far

And to be upset with officiating in a game you are dominating is a bad look.
It may be a bad look butt there were some very strange calls against Iowa State. Crooks called for a foul near the end of the half when the Colorado player ran her over. Ryan goes in front of a Colorado player who shoves Ryan in the back knocking Ryan to the floor and Ryan is called for a foul. Colorado player slips in yhe lane and Ryan calledxagaun for a foul. Just strange calls.
I'm not sure I'd like less bias but I would take a lot less whine from both of them.
The foul where the CO player shoved Ryan, Ryan did commit an illegal moving screen first, so once that foul is called, all other contact (except excess/flagrant) is ignored. The shove wasn't hard enough to be a flagrant.
Agree. That foul on Tanke at the end of the game was also a bad call.
Had a neat moment after the game that I was so consumed with that after we walked away I kicked myself for not taking some pictures with my phone. After the game we went over and talked to Angie Welle. I was a freshman at ISU the same year as Angie and shared my story how my first week of classes this tall girl sits down in the row in front of me (I am 6 foot tall myself by the way Angie is 6-4) and not knowing who she was thought to myself "wow she is tall, hope she plays basketball." Went to the 1st women's basketball game and there she was starting at center.
She was great with my 2 daughters. They asked her to sign their t-shirts and Angie asked them if they play basketball which they both said yes and she says "well maybe one day I'll be asking you to sign my shirt when you are playing for the Cyclones." She even said something like "I'm going to sign your shirts with the name your dad knows me by" - a reference that she goes by her married name now. Was a very proud moment for me as Angie was my favorite player when I attended ISU and to have her have that moment with my 2 girls and share my story for a random moment over 25 years ago was just surreal. I showed my girls Angie's ISU HOF video and her All American video from 2002 that I found on YouTube so they could see the significance of meeting 1 of just 4 players to have their jersey hung from the Hilton rafters. I compared her to the Audi Crooks of that time period as she was just as tough of a matchup to guard.

Like someone else said, all of their big contributors are seniors this year so unless she really loves KSU or really wants to join a rebuild halfway through her career it would be a puzzling choice to make.
Seriously? Even if I secretly or publicly video recorded a conversation that had those comments in them…I’d def not share them publicly.
It was probably something you would have been better off not sharing in the first place and to me it came as just showing off as in "I talk to players". You don't have rebut every post here you don't agree and sometimes the best option is to just let it pass.
Probably true…in my case it was heading silly talk off at the pass rather than any other purpose. I honestly could care less whether someone thinks I talk to players, coaches or Santa Claus.
