WBB: Buckley to pursue medical redshirt

The ultimate source is an ISU spokesman, so this is an official thing. I think most (all?) of us agree this is a good idea.
She qualifies, so there shouldn't be any issues. You never know, but this case is pretty simple.
For those wondering, out of the 15 scholarship limit for WBB, ISU is using:
14 in 15/16
13 in 16/17 (assuming Baier gets a medical redshirt from last season)
11 in 17/18 (with Buckley's redshirt, and including Scott and Johnson's verbals)
That leaves two scholarships open for the 2016 class (I assume 1 or 2 will be used) and probably 2 or 3 open for the 2017 class (not counting the two that are already spoken for). I don't imagine we'd pick up more than two more 2017s.

The NCAA is pretty good with simple cases like this. It's when there is any nuance involved that consistency and fairness get thrown out the window.
There really is an influence of high quality recruits (like we have committed) attracting other highly regarded players in other positions. Great teams sometimes come out of nowhere, but mostly they are the result of accretion.
