Is Em going to be able to knock off moody on the assists?
We have a minimum of 13 games left, assuming no more cancellations and we play in a postseason tournament. Emily needs 98 assists to break the record. That's 7.5 per game. It's only 6.5 per game if we can get to 15 games. The TCU cancellation did her no favors. She'll be close, but I'd give her less than 50% chance this season. Hopefully she comes back for a bonus year, though.

Losing all those games first part of the season really hurt

Finally updated with the past two games. Notes:

Audi has over 200 FGA this season, so now she's showing up on the single-season FG% lists. Once she hits 250 (likely in two more games), she'll show up on the career list as well.

Belanger hit 100 3FGA, so she is showing up on the career 3FG% list.

I added several tables to the freshman season total list -- more of those lists are starting to have our current class in them.

Updated with yesterday's game.

Emily career assist update after her monster game: 673 assists, 72 behind Moody and 46 behind Medders. There are 10 games scheduled assuming one B12 tournament game and one NCAA tournament game, so that's 7.3 apg to pass Moody. That drops to 6.1 apg if we play 12 games.

Bill needs to leave her in just to get that record…

Some absolutely amazing stuff here - but none more amazing that the fact that Emily is likely to end her career Top 10 in Blocks (along with Assists and Steals).

And that Addy will likely break the Freshman Assists AND Rebound marks, while Audi breaks the Freshman Points record.

My friend Colleen Peterson was in attendance on Saturday night for the ISU WBB 50th Anniversary Celebration, accompanied by her children, both of whom are ISU alum. Her 48 year-old freshman scoring records will fall to Audi this season, and Colleen took a photo with Audi at the Practice Facility. Her husband sent it to me with the note their kids were "just outside the frame practicing their best Tonya Harding moves". Good stuff...

Updated with yesterday's game. Notes:

Audi is about to break Petersons freshman FG record and would have to regress quite a bit to break the freshman PPG record.

Ryan is 24 assists behind Medders and 50 behind Moody. We have 5 regular season games left, so 7 games left at a minimum (one Big 12 Tournament game, one NCAA/WNIT game). To get to 51 assists in 7 games, she needs to average 7.3 per game. Add one game and it drops to 6.4. Add two games and it drops to 5.7.

Updated with today's game. Notes:
  • As noted elsewhere, Audi broke the freshman FGM record.
  • Audi is now only 27 points from tying Megan Taylor's freshman total points record. That should fall in the next game or two.
  • Emily Ryan became the third cyclone to break 700 career assists. She is now 43 behind Moody and 17 behind Medders. If we play the minimum 6 remaining games (4 regular season, one B12 tournament, one NCAA/NIT), she needs to average 7.3 apg to pass Moody. That drops to 6.3 with one extra game and 5.5 with two extra games.

Here's hoping she gets 15 on Senior Day against Cincy.

Updated with last night's game. Notes:
  • Prior to this season, Megan Taylor owned 7 freshman records: Points, FGA, DReb, TotReb, Minutes, DReb/G, TotReb/G. Barring injury, she will lose all of those except maybe TotReb and Minutes.
  • Emily Ryan is now 36 assists behind Moody and 10 behind Medders. If we play the minimum 5 remaining games (3 regular season, one B12 tournament, one NCAA/NIT), she needs to average 7.4 apg to pass Moody. That drops to 6.2 with one extra game and 5.3 with two extra games.
  • Ryan has entered two lists: #10 in career steals and #15 in career minutes. I didn't notice if that's new with this update or not.

  • Informative

Updated with Saturday's game. As everyone knows, Audi is now the single-season freshman points record-holder. She may be near 600 points by the end of the season.

Ryan is now 30 assists behind Moody and 4 behind Medders. If we play the minimum 4 games, that's 7.8 assists to pass Moody. That drops to 6.2 in 5 games and 5.2 in 6 games.
