He's gotten some pretty good results from non blue-chip recruits. That is something we have lacked. If he can keep coaching them up like that, I don't think he is going to re-invent the wheel recruiting wise at ISU.

Would have thought Haught and Walz were at least top 50 guys. Like the possibility of getting guys to develop and get better instead of just staying at the same level or getting worse as their career progresses. I've gone back and watched as many VT meets as possible on Watch ESPN and I love the way their guys wrestle. Obviously their highly rated guys look good but somebody who stands out to me is Bergida at 165. Pretty sure he was an underdog in every match I watched except maybe one but he wrestles hard from start to finish and never stops coming at his opponent. I'm sure this is pretty obvious to everybody but that's the type of mentality we need out of our entire team to get back to where we want to be. Would also love to see some guys like Mastriani in the Cardinal and Gold. That dude is fun to watch.
