I was wondering if anyone out there had a DVD copy of the Iowa State vs Michigan State game and if so, where did you get it. I'd love to get a copy because the rage that I felt that day seems to have suppressed some of my memory from the game.

I've watched the one on You Tube, but it is MSU tainted and I can barely stand to watch it. (Insert Mateen Cleaves expletive)

I've vowed never to watch that game again...it brought me too much heartbreak the first time around, I don't think I could handle it the second time...

I remember pacing the floor with my buddy in my apartment in Minneapolis watching that game. We had a few other friends over that were not really basketball fans let alone Cyclone fans. They left shortly after the game with strange looks on their faces. I am pretty sure they had never heard some of the words we used before, nor had they seen anyone throw that much stuff at a TV.

I have a VHS copy somewhere that I will never watch again at least until we make it to a Final Four.

We got hosed

I was at that game. I was so upset when it was over, I tripped stepping over a row of chairs and fell hard. Didn't feel a thing until the next day.

I still remember that game like it was yesterday. My son thought I was going to have a heart attack when the "blarge" was called. After it was over, I went outside on the porch and contemplated whether or not a basketball game was worth that much anguish and heartache. I decided that in this case, it was. Still the most gut-wrenching moment of my 35+ year career as a Cyclone fan.

I wish the whole team would have just walked off to court after the 'blarge' call. That would have made a statement. Not only did ISU get hosed in that game, but they placed the two best teams in the tourny in the same bracket!! Unbelievable! My blood pressure up already this morning....

Either way, I believe ISU BB's going to get back to where they were at that time. It will just take patience.

I was at the game. I got home, deleted the recording and have no desire to ever watch it again. No reason to, I know exactly how it went down since I was there.

We were up 12 or something with 5 minutes left. To me, the worst part of it was blowing that lead.

Exactly. Everybody wants to talk about the "blarge" but they forget that we blew a lead and there was a looooooooooooong stretch where we didn't score a point. That's what cost us the game, but the call.

You guys wanna know what makes it worse? I spent summer of 2000 in Florida. I went to Disney's Wide World of Sports and SAW the 2000 NCAA MBB Tourney trophy there proclaiming Mich St as the champions. I was so pissed I almost threw up all over the display case. Basically, my dad was there with me and told him that that trophy should have belonged to us but we were hosed out of it.

I would like to have the UCLA game. I loved how we throttled those guys.

If my memory serves me right, wasn't it Curtis Shaw that called that? Does anyone know if he still ref's? I sure hope not. To this day, that is still one of the biggest hose jobs on record.

I believe he still refs 4-5 ISU games a year...
