VB roster changes

In the article on the new letter winners, I noticed a couple of the freshmen VB players missing. Sure enough, go to the roster, and a couple of the 2014 players are no longer listed on the team.
Rachel Manriquez -- probably not a surprise given Berta's play
Maria Fruechte -- would have like to see her develop into a player; lots of potential

Also, Bria Rasmussen is no longer listed.

I had really liked Maria in her freshman scrimmage, sad to see her go. The others aren't too surprising.

Rasmussen is listed as a senior in the ISU directory, so she may be close to graduation and ready to be done with volleyball. Manriquez walked on at Oklahoma, and it appears Fruechte may be at Winona State.

Fruechte was the only one that came in with any ballyhoo. Good athlete but a little undersized for Div. I. Winona St. is probably a good fit. Minnesota Div. 2 volleyball is among the best. Were the other two even on scholarship?

There are still 12 on the Spring roster counting Grace Lazard, and 5 freshman coming in next fall. VB scholarships are limited to 12. That means even with three leaving there will be 5 walk-ons. Players must really want to play for Christy.
