Behind Texas and Kansas. Maybe not surprising. Lots of unknowns with this team. If they gel and get back to some of their key strengths, and newcomers develop quickly, they will be better than KU.

It's going to come down to the setter. Will Suzanne Horner get this team the closer to the sets they became accustomed to from Mann's then Landwehr? I have a feeling she will.

Hope this is motivating. We have a lot more talent than KU - just saying. I doubt CJL would offer schollies to many, if any, Jayhawk players.

By points, the difference is only a half-spot anyway.

Losing Hahn is reeeeeally going to blow...she made up for some weak overall defense last year. Hopefully the frosh Libero is ready to go because Nolan is in no condition to play Libero in the Big 12.

I'm looking forward to watching West in the middle too.

KU has some nice young talent. especially the pick for NOY that I'm sure CJL would love to have.

Still, I'd be disappointed with 3rd.

Definitely fair for all the unknowns we have. How will Suzanne look as setter? Does our blocking actually exist this year? What will we have at libero after the better part of a decade with outstanding performance at that position?

It is interesting to see all the Iowa (and Texas) connections in the list - Bigbee and Eckerman are from Iowa and Malloy used to be on the Iowa State Team - and Hurtt is ours. So much talent!
