A lot is made about the arena expansion, Thunder, etc…but they haven’t been a formidable program in a really long time. Some talented teams with Ford but meh results.
I remember never looking forward to playing Sutton‘s OSU teams, home or away.

OKC Thunder killed both basketball programs in that state
Used to be one of the best atmospheres in college basketball. Really sad to see
Odd to think of how playing Ok St used to be a top game
Crazy to think that if you said 10 years ago that the league makeup would be what it is today, you would have had OSU in your top 3 overall basketball and football combo programs. Instead of competing for the league each year, both programs are shells of what they were just 5 years ago.
Underwood was a pretty good hire but he bolted for Illinois as soon as he could
I’ve been to two games at GIA in the last 6 years. It’s a pretty sad experience. The expansion ruined that place and now Okie State is stuck with a horrible atmosphere as long as they use GIA. The crowds are never coming back, they weren’t there even when good. The upper deck has always been empty.
I've heard that at midnight the ghost of Eddie Sutton can be seen trying to scratch his name off the court.

Just insane, they were must watch TV when I was a kid with John Lucas and Eddie Sutton running the show. They crushed my dreams in 2004 stopping St. Josephs and Jameer Nelson in the Elite 8 and making it to the final 4. I get that was 20 years ago but it's still hard to believe that they have fallen that much.
The place is still mostly a house of horrors for Iowa State. They are dog **** this year but I'll feel uneasy about our game down there until it's over.
Can't believe it, but I actually had to Google who their new coach was. I don't remember there being any fanfare about it after they let Boynton go.
