Does anyone know what the university village apartments are like at SUV? Know someone looking for a one bedroom and it seems like a decent option maybe

I'm living in UV now and I really enjoy it. I am graduating in May and only had to live on campus for this semester. Rooms are decent size. Not the greatest places, but they are a pretty solid option.

I lived there from 94 to 96. I lived in a two bedroom, but I was married and had a kid halfway through. It worked really well for us. It would also be good for two single students. Living room is a good size, but kitchen is small. It was tiled floor when lived there. Not sure if it still is.

I live there now. I can't imagine a better place to live as a student. Easy access to blue route. Cheap rent. Electric is only $5 a month. Enough floor space. I have yet to come across a better living arrangement.

My wife lived there for two years. Other than them being old you wont find a better apartment for the price anywhere. The only thing my wife didnt like was that it was very loud with cement hard walls tile in every room. If the furnace or a/c is running it can get hard to a normal conversation downstairs.

I'd still probably try to live on campus or in campustown land. Only get one real chance at that in life. You can live in apartments till you are like 200 years old. (given the advances of moden medicine of course)

UV is a good option especially if you are leaving Ames at the semester or wanting a one bedroom/ studio type space. You just don't have any apartment options if you don't want a roommate(s). But, its far away from the bars and unless you have friends living up north too, you will always be going to where ever they are.

I live there. Good place, very cheap, pretty big living room, tons of parking. The area is really quiet. Great access to the bus, and you don't have to go far for laundry and you never have to wait for a machine. Internet sucks sometimes, but it's generally pretty good. If you want quick access to bars and parties, I wouldn't live there unless you do what I do and park at a friends house.
