These two games tied Kansas State from last season as the highest attended. All three were 56,800.

Goddamn. Yep just about every time ISU has stepped onto a large stage where it could take the fanbase it is building and really explode, it falls flat on its face.

Going to predict a few things.
#1. There will be less than 40K attending the Kansas game
#2. We will lose to UNI in Basketball, but yet be a bubble team.
#3. in a couple weeks, Iowa fans will make the claim they are one play from being 5-0.

Those attendance numbers just confirms how many times the rug has been pulled out from the fans.

3-6 at home over the last 2 seasons. 2 of those wins were Tulsa and Western Illinois.

The fringe fans aren't going to continue to buy tickets and show up unless they see some hope for improvement.

Back in 2010 and 2011, I felt Jack Trice Stadium was becoming a real home field advantage. In the last two years, attendance numbers have even more greatly reflected that. The on-field performance not so much.

One thing is for sure, Rhoads' coached teams do better when expectations are low. I guess that bodes well for this season that we might get to see a win or two.
