Throwing the brick for no reason because Simma is gassed.

Schwab says locked hands, in reality he threw the brick for a breather.

That was textbook locked hands. Throwing it only made sense. Poor mat awareness from MJ. Also, our coaches somehow got them to review stalling to get Paniro a lunger so we shouldn’t be throwing stones. Ha!

I also don’t get the complaining about Schwab. Our coaches hardly just sit stoically and quietly.

Could see Voelker transfer out, if Parker Keckeisen moves on.

You even know there is a huge difference between what Schwab does and what our staff does

I missed the locked hands in real time.

Also, don’t compare our staff to Schwab just to play devils advocate.

Dresser did what he could to put this injury riddled team in a position to win, Uni was just better/smarter/helped by the ref in all the matches we had to have.

Evan, Chittum were fantastic.

Herrera had a great weekend. Was that two ranked wins for him?

Bockman takes one for the team. A warrior. Why didn’t you come here sooner??

I like Jacob in the rematch. I like mj in the rematch too.

No words for Paniro’s day
Mid Feb and Paniro is gassing out. Unacceptable. Herrera should be the big 12 wrestler of the week

I say this half jokingly, but I do wonder how Metcalf would really act if he wasn't sitting next to Dresser...

I'm traveling with basketball and didn't get to be there today. Looked like a fun atmosphere. Good for the sport. That's a 15 year old record they broke.

I get that Schwab isn't for everybody. The classic love him if he's your guy, hate him if he's not.

I think UNI fans will enjoy this one because Iowa State probably wins 7 matches the next couple years when the experience pendulum swings.

Anyone have insight into how bad MJs injury is? Didn’t sound great listening to the radio, but I also just saw the “highlight” of MJ trying to jump over Simms at the buzzer.

But they are atleast somewhat classy about it. Dresser even clapped, not in an A hole way, toward their corner after the 49 lb match. Schwab… Christ if you would have told me that was Terry Brands, I seriously would believe you. It’s on that level.

Happened right in front of me. On the mat return MJ rolled his ankle as both wrestlers came down on it. I think it was one of those more in the moment "scared" than anything. He walked it off and didn't seem bothered by it the rest of the match

It happened, but fairly certain MJ thought he had released him. (Which he did) but Realbuto immediately dove back in and the ref never gave MJ his one. Kinda a bs way for MJ to still have "control"

That whole sequence was a cluster. And why id bet heavily on California Love in the rematch in Tulsa.

My 2 cents:

1) Schwab and Dresser have elevated their programs since they took over so credit to both. No doubt Dresser shows more class.

2) Schwab doing more with less & filling up the McLeod is good for wrestling.

3) Who will be the face of UNI when Keck leaves???

4) Refs weren't horrible today. I sat mat side and detected no glaring issues.

5) Disappointed in Riggins & Gaitan.

6) PJ deserved to lose, but kinda got screwed when Realbuto didn't have to take an injury timeout, which woulda put PJ in the down position on the restart.

7) Osmany looked disinterested.

8) I luv Chittum as he had the balls to go all the way to the tunnel to greet Downey for introductions. He looked like he expected to win.

9) Credit to EB for moving up against a quality 197'er.

10) I realize Jacob had a slight setback, but the Frost Bros are my MVP's right now.

One last thought from me, you could most definitely see it in Cody’s eyes that he was going to win. I told someone during the first period, Cody looks REALLY good. He must be in a really good place mentally, look out Tulsa…
