Will be a rowdy crowd and team in Ames.
In modern era, this is their best team ever… and we’re missing multiple all Americans. This loss isn’t that big a a deal.
I just can’t believe anyone would be want to openly be seen in public with that much little d*ck energy.
All of these comments about Schwab remind me of when I coached middle school wrestling at Cresco. Schwab was a hotshot even then and I took great joy when my kid ate him up in our dual. Still makes me smile thinking about it.
I was at the meet today great environment UNI had. I’m not mad about the loss at all. UNI caught us this year. If the plan unfolds next years Iowa state team is going to be loaded. To the fans that think Dresser should be fired never watch the sport. Just keep drinking your blood rounds because we have great wrestling ahead. Chittum is a dawg and Herrera is getting better every match. Evan Frost I believe has a shot to win it.
I really think Frost can win it all at 133 too. 4 seed Frost vs 2 seed Ayala Saturday night in Philly will be electric

I totally agree. If I had to critique Evan I wish he got off to better starts. But I definitely see him wrestling Saturday night.
That will happen when you have 5 senior wrestlers (all in the top 20) going up against all Fr./So. except your 184-pounder that is recovering from mono and bumping up to try to help the team.
Ya...today is what it is. Schwab is the same Schwab he's always been. UNI has a dang good team this year. We are essentially wrestling 2nd and 3rd string at four weights. It was always going to be an uphill battle to win. Tip your cap to them and just plan on blanking them next year in Ames.
Also, as i looked around the sold out McLeod center with all that energy, UNI should be ashamed of themselves for trying to hide this meet in the West Gym for all those years until they were forced out.

Dresser did what he could to put this injury riddled team in a position to win, Uni was just better/smarter/helped by the ref in all the matches we had to have.
Evan, Chittum were fantastic.
Herrera had a great weekend. Was that two ranked wins for him?

I don’t disagree with most of what you said. True freshman Herrera felt the urgency against rs sr Runyon. I think 41 & 74 were quick lapses & it cost them the match. Paniro was way beyond that.

I don't get super involved in discussion here but this is dumb.
Injuries have hit the starters in a way they haven't since Dresser took over the program. Guys have been in and out over injuries and sickness. Its like a constant runaway train trying to get them back into some consistency. Not to mention Osmany (125) cut weight to wrestle today and that can be tough on some guys.
Lets slow our roll here because in general Iowa State lost a dual they were predicted to lose on paper. Sure, there are areas that deserve frustration and criticism but in general lets calm down here lol
