ISU had a great season and set a record for wins with at 25-4 record. Meanwhile, UNI went 30-2 (wonder who else beat them) and it was the 9th 30-win season in their history, although the first since 2002.

I know they have a longer history of success in the sport than ISU, but how come they play so many more games? UNI did win their conference tourney, but that is not that many more. Do they play more in-season tournaments? Does Christy just pace our team to be ready for the NCAA's?

UNI played 3 pre season tourneys with three matches in each tourney. ISU played in 2 preseason tourneys with 3 matches in each. There third preseason "tourney" was a home double header against UW Milwaukee (which is odd), so they only got 2 matches in. Typically you'd see that be a home tournament. Don't know if someone back out or what. Can't imagine they chose to play a home double header in lieu of three matches in a tourney. That lost match plus the two extra matches UNI had in their conference tourney explains the 3 match differential.

Big UNI fan this coming weekend.

HUGE!

I've met Bobbi Peterson on several occassions, knew her brother pretty well and know their home match announcer real well. All good people. They've run a solid program in Cedar Falls for years and years. I'll always pull for UNI except those few occassions.
