Iowa State fans kick ass. Made the trip to Ames for Tulsa at IA State and had a blast, more beer from IA State fans on my way to the stadium than I needed! The fans in Tulsa were fun. The fans in Memphis we're fun.

The IA State fans I know are good people and some family of mine might be alumni and more might be on the way to school there. But I'm a Tulsa guy (and my team is staying home again...).

So if anyone is headed this way for the games, I'm happy to answer any questions you have or point y'all in the right direction. Places to stay. Things to do . Food or drink spots. Dumb questions...whatever. Happy to help everyone ennjo the trip if I can.

I was downtown Tulsa for a conference within last year. I remember the arena but if I recall correctly, not really a lot of bars surrounding it. Is that correct?

I remember an area of downtown where there were several bars/restaurants in closer proximity to each other. Can you share where that area is exactly? It was kind of in the area where the Hurts Donuts was located (I remember that because was newly opened and the lines were nuts).

How much Busch Light does Tulsa have? Because whatever it is, double it, and even then it still won’t be enough as the Cyclone fans will have completely consumed it by the end of next weekend.

Best (and ideally free, but not required to be) place to park?

Happy to walk a good distance to the games to enjoy the city, see the people, and maybe grab the necessary food and drink before watching some basketball, thanks.

Random question: when and how did ISU become a Busch Light school? When I was in school (mid 2000s) it was pretty much a Natty Light school through and through.

Doc's on Brookside has a great bloody mary and cajun inspired brunch, and Smoke on Cherry Street has a bloody mary bar and fantastic brunch menu.

My wife's family lives in Tulsa we we pass through quite a bit. Several times stopped for breakfast at Savoy Restaurant . Excellent food. I though my mother made the worlds best caramel rolls until I ate there. 6003 S Sheridan Rd.

The Natty was the Eustacy effect, I think.

Personally, I didn't drink either while at school. Old Style, Stroh's, and one time, Blatz, were my go-to cheap beers.
