Don’t get me wrong I’d like to listen to talented color commentators like Joel Klatt every game, but you have to remember ESPN is broke and can’t afford talent. I’m not sure if Tubberville is better at coaching or commentating.
Repeatedly called Hakeem Butler the wrong name.
That one had me confused until I looked up the WVU roster...No, there actually was a DB named Hakeem Bailey.

I've never commented on an announcer before either. He was unprepared, and terrible.
The repeated use of "earned that call" was getting to me...Same here. Announcers hardly register with me when I watch a game. But he was more than annoying. Every time Iowa State did something good, the other announcer was very excitingly complementary, and he would immediately follow with what poor thing WV did instead. Who remembers how many times he said ISU executed a certain play against WV's 2nd or 3rd string players? Well, buddy, we had 2 starting O-lineman out, too.
I've never claimed an announcer was continually derogatory against one team like this guy...ever. I'd be willing to bet that if a non-partial observer from ESPN was asked to go back and evaluate the telecast, he would agree.
