McKenzie
Sumrall

Stevie Hicks could be up as hig as 3-4 if he proves to me that he can still be a good RB against some of the best run-stoppers in the NCAA. He could be a total bust too. I think on your list Jackson is a bit low. I could be wrong too.

Brant has been a disapointing thus far. With his hype and size he should be a road grader on the right side we can run behind. I don't think any of our running backs are our top ten players unfortunately

I dont see why people have Blythe soo high, we can win games easily w/o him. He is better as a distraction then as a weapon, as a distraction he opens up the field for the runnin game and also for the other recievers. But I love Todd "white chocolate" Blythe just as much as the next guy and hope that he has a huge year.

Stephenson should be in everyone's top-5. He's the rock on the offensive line---and wore down teams like Iowa

I will only add two to the list as potential difference makers. (they are Fr. so this could be a pipe dream)
If Rashawn Parker can be close to what JB was as a Fr.(he is heavier) we will be better than expected.
If Kris Means can have a Jordan Dizon type impact on our LB corp, we will be VERY good.

Big if's, but VERY possible from what I hear.

I really think everyone underated Ryan Koch. Without him picking up the first downs and scoring the touchdowns, the season would be much longer.

Got a few problems with this one...

1) Your top 6 is all offense. dont get me wrong but in no way is our offense that far and a away better than the D. JAckson should be up there in the top-4 i think. He is already, in my opinion and that of many others, one of the best DB in the nation. He will probly only 1 or 2 Int. this year but thats because the opponents will only throw to his reciever once or twice theis year (slight exageration). Hes that good.

2) Stevie Hicks will have to prove to me and many other clone fans he can still be a consistent big12 back. If he repeats his sophomore year we'll be fine. but at this point 3 is quite high. I said in my earlier post that he could get there but he isnt there at this point.

3) Why is hamilton in there and not sumrall? Hamilton is good and will be a big part of the reciever core, but he isnt better than Sumrall.

4)My last complaint is that you have Culbertson on there. Again, dont get me wrong. if you look at the stats he was one of the best kickers in the conference, but until he hits that big kick then i will not be a culbertson homer. Best of luck to him. he takes a lot of crap from us and doesnt deserve most of it but he still missed those kicks. i wont have him up there until he does hit those big ones.

yea my top 6 is all offense because the offense is gonna be taking care of business this year. Yea i think we have a great defense as well but since its just a top 10 i could just list those few and far as the hamilton over sumrall thing i never said he was better but i'm just lookin forward to watchin hamilton play cuz he will be doing some good things. [move]its all about the hamiltons baby![/move] I put culbertson up there cuz i feel he has taken a lot of crap and i have a feeling things are gonna be way better this year.

I'm not going to make a list but some observations from some lists.

Stephenson should be top 5 easily. Unless he gets hurt or has a terrible senior season he's probably the top NFL prospect on the team that would be in next year's draft. Let's not forget he was 1st team all Big 12.

About being OK without Blythe, that was a crazy comment. He is the best player on this team and I think he's sometimes not used enough in a game. He's 6-5 with good leaping and speed so it baffles me why we don't throw over the top to him more when most guys covering him are about 1/2 a foot shorter than him.

No way Culberston or any of our RBs other than Kock should be listed in the top 10. Culberston, as likable as he may be is a terrible clutch kicker and is a big reason why the past 2 years we failed to make the Big 12 championship game. I raised the question at the KXNO recruiting bash last fall about why we didn't sign any kickers. Tony Alford turned his head and smiled and didn't want to answer, Chris Ash answered the question with a pre-emptive "I'll answer that because I don't coach the kickers" and gave quite the homer answer and stated other than those "big kicks" he's pretty good. His answer concerned me a little because a team that wants to go to the next level should just not accept mediocrity at a key position like that and do nothing to try to improve it. When fans are crossing their fingers for PAT's to go in that is not a good sign.

On defense we have to hope that Curvey will not get hurt and be the animal that he is. Without him that D-line would really have me scared right now since he and Moorehead are the only 2 coming back from last year and Moorehead is not exactly all big 12 material.
