I am going to check out those documentaries. Tombstone is a really good, entertaining movie. Kilmer's lines are just amazing and delivered perfectly. I have seen Tombstone maybe 20 times and Wyatt Earp once.

The problem with trying to make a historically accurate film is that it becomes too long. Wyatt Earp just never created the drama that Tombstone did, even though some of Tombstone borders on melodramatic.

IMO Costner has the same problem that Eastwood does directing. they both have done good films, but mostly they are long winded and too literal making them boring by today's standards. Cut a half hour out and they would be better.

I agree with that. Kostners "Open Range" is a great movie but a half hour or so to long. More action less story telling and love scenes. I want shooting and dead people.

There is no such thing as a good Kevin Costner movie. Everything he touches turns to stone. He ruined Field of Dreams for me. I had to choke down The Guardian on my return trip from Hawaii in 2007, and I applauded and cheered when his character died in the end.

OH COME ON!! Tin Cup and Bull Durham are awesome! I'm not a Costner ball-washer but those flicks are awesome!

(and Tombstone rocks!)

The movie where Costner was a serial killer and murdered Dane Cook at the end was decent.

Waterworld? Really? That movie sucked balls. Did I miss the pirate?

Dances with Wolves is the best Costner movie in my opinion. A great story with good acting. Costner should just stick to westerns. Open Range was pretty good too with co star Robert Duvall.

That movie was great!

Duvall has to be one of my top actors.

Behind you
Kilmer = better Doc Holliday
Costner = better Wyatt Earp

Tombstone did a better job of covering the Johnny Ringo angle, since Wyatt Earp barely even introduced him into the plot. But Wyatt Earp did better at covering Bat and Ed Masterson angle, which Tombstone didn't even include. I thought the guy who played Curly Bill in Wyatt Earp was better than Powers Booth in Tombstone, who just looked like a carnival barker.

And no matter how much you might hate Kevin Costner, to not appreciate Bull Durham is communist to the core.

Some of the greatest lines in a movie ever...
  • I have not yet begun to defile myself.
  • You're no daisy! You're no daisy at all!
  • It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.
  • Oh, Johny, I forgot you were there. You may go.
  • Remember what I said about dying people seeing a white light? It ain't true! I can't see a damn thing! [Dies]
  • Look at all the stars. You look up and you think, "God made all this and He remembered to make a little speck like me." It's kind of flattering, really.
  • Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!
Jack Johnson: Nobody move!Doc Holliday: Nonsense! By all means, move.

"You're a daisy if you do."

Tombstone, every single time. I think I know every single word.
