Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX to hit Verizon shelves on January 26 | Technology Bloom News

At CES 2012, Motorola and Verizon announced that the Droid 4 will be released very shortly (probably in a matter of days). And it appears that is the case as Verizon has now dropped the price pretty far on the Droid 3.

In another announcement, they announced that coming very soon (rumored to be Jan. 26), is the Droid Razr Maxx. It is a variation of the original Droid Razr, but with a much larger battery. The original Droid Razr had a roughly 1800 mAh battery. The new Razr Maxx sports a 3300 mAh battery.

Love my android. Work with lots of clients with gmail accounts, and the google accounts aync way better w my outlook than iphone. . 4G is way faster than 3G. Also tested Motorola vs iPhone for signal strength. Big difference. Also my biz peeps w iPhones will tell you they drop a lot of calls.

I have an iphone and have never dropped a call, in rural Iowa. Even in poor signal areas I dont have issues.

I still have not purchased a smartphone, but am heavily leaning towards the Droid Razr Maxx that was just released last Thursday by Verizon. Has anyone here purchased this phone?

I just got the HTC Rezound in the past few weeks, it's pretty badass, has 4G and will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich very soon.

My eyesight sucks and the screen on this evo is bigger than my wife's IPhone, plus I have 4g and she doesn't.

I currently have a Droid Incredible, and am getting an iPhone in about two weeks when I can renew. I am tired of beta testing a phone, this thing has a ton of bugs. Also, I need more battery life.

Everything I've read about the maxx has been good. I'd be ****** if I had bought one of the other razr before this came out.

My husband just got a Maxx last week. He really, really likes it, and the battery lasts forever. It looks a lot to me like a tablet, though, that thing is enormous.

I buy a new phone every six months and it is Razor

I bought my wife a new Iphone 4s and at first I thought it was real cool but after taking it for a day I like my Razor way better.

First Siri does not work well if you are not in a very strong 3g area. She does not work at all on 1g so if you are not in a metro area she works part time.

The main reason I did not like the Iphone is that the browser for looking at cyclones.com or Cylones fanatic or even email is way better on the Razor.. You can not speed dial on a Iphone 4s. You can not set your dial pad to speed dial. I got around that for might wife by installing a speed dial app that she has to hit another button to get to it.

I can not have my calandar up all the time to remind me where I should be or weather alerts.

The new Razor has excellent battery life similar to the I phone 4s.

My wife wants to go back to her flip phone because she has a hard time using her new I phone and I am not going to switch to hers from my Razor. She has problems when driving because she like the feel of the small flip phone . She could use blue tooth in her car but that is another story. It is the way I use it and that includes using the browser a lot for the two cyclone boards and I even use it as a mini kindle to read books when I do not have my tablet with me.
I was shocked that I did not like the IPhone more after all the hype and all my wifes friends have one. My sister called and she said she liked her blackberry better and may return her Iphone 4s.

I buy phones like cotton candy and have a Samsung charge that is laying in a drawer and it is ok but the Razor is better.

Yep, I switched back to an Iphone 2 weeks ago and am really happy I did. Love having 1 device again for everything. Battery life is so much better now also.

The incredible is sooo old comparing the Incredible to the I phone 4s is like comparing a Ford model T to a Honda Accord and I owned a incredible and it was a fine phone at the time.. Apple and Oranges.
The androids keep improving over time faster than the Iphone.
