If Rhoads wants to keep his job after this season it is time to take a risk and name Lanning the starter at QB. Sam Richardson while putting up some nice stats has not got the job done when it comes to WINS I am sick and tired of seeing the same old put out there without winning results.

If Paul keeps his job after this season, then he might as well start me at QB, because there is no getting rid of him.

Obviously our back-up QB is the problem with this team.

My feeling is save Lanning until the very last possible moment. Seems when this staff starts coaching a starting QB, there is nothing but regression in their future. The staff is the problem, not the QB.

He was bad in overtime but he played well enough to me. we simply don't look like a well coached team..

While Im not a fan of Sam overall, he is not the reason we lost today. He completed multiple 3rd and long passes. Penalties and game management killed us tonight

This is one of the most poorly coached teams I've ever seen play the game. Plain and simple. This game easily would have been in our hands if not for the 13 penalties we took. And honestly, the refs seemed to give us a break later in the game or it probably would have been more. There is no excuse for this. Just get rid of Rhoads ASASP, so we can start the healing process now.

Remember back when we thought that changing the starting QB would make us a winning team. Boy were those the good old days.

As the announcers said in the 3rd OT SR could have ran on one play for several yards. Take what the defense gives you. It was Guaranteed 1st down. Instead he chose to pass and it was incomplete. Sam just doesn't have it all between the ears it seems. He has a slow processor.

Backup QB always most popular player...

When your current starting QB is 3-19 with 0 Big XII wins in his career as a starter and has multiple times refused to throw on 4th and whatever at the end of a game, there is a reason for this.

True but if Lanning is so good why hasn't he been playing more?

I don't think Lanning should play for the passing game, I think we are going to need a power back at some point and I haven't seen it from anyone.

I wish we would have made it to a 3rd OT.
