I think he was saying ISU would win this game if they maintained mental toughness down the stretch, and there is not an ISU fan out there who logically can disagree with that.

This is the gawddammed internet, Chuckd...you can take your 'logically' and shove it. Barkley doesn't give us any respect and we should be ranked somewhere between the Spurs and the Thunder. Only a moron would argue with that.

I think Charles Barkley would gladly eat his words, if you smothered them in mozzarella and gave him a cup of au jus to dip them in. Plus a big 'ol glass of beer to wash them down.

I didn't get a disrespect vibe from his comments. He said we have talent, but that we've had trouble finishing. I was more disturbed by how the other guys kept praising ND for being a great 3-point shooting team. One of the other experts mentioned that ND has four guys who are legitimate threats from outside. As opposed to ISU? Who gives all five starters (and Tyrus) the green light to shoot from the cheap seats? I actually asked my wife "Did someone switch the team names on his pregame index cards?"

ISU did flat out choke those KU games away. You can blame it on the refs or bad luck for a banked in three, but ISU let them back in the game with terrible D. I have no problem with Barkley telling the truth.

I don't remember CB's words exactly during halftime, but the impression I got was that he expected ISU to run away from ND, and he was right. So give him credit for calling it...

Plus, the dyslexic "Whitey" slip and subsequent attempt to cover it was absolutely priceless...Highlight of the evening (after the ISU beating ND and FGC taking out GTown). Where else can you get comedy like that for free????

I'm pretty sure Chuckwagon wasn't in Cyclone disrespect mode.

He thinks KU is a lock for the final four.

Those OT loses are fitting into that perspective. It's a positive.

Somewhere in the U.S.
I know CBS has a deal with TNT to broadcast games, and I know that Barkley and the others are the normal NBA in-studio team for TNT, but I still think they could have found lots of better college basketball analysts rather than just bring out their usual NBA team. Though similar obviously, the NBA game and college game are very different.

He's there for the entertainment value. He's a natural, look at that commercial he does where he's the announcer in the driveway...it's hilarious. That guys living right. He knocks down a few before work, gets in front of the camera says the first thing that pops in his head, clocks out and heads to the closest party and for a little extra spending money he'll do a couple commercials.

Didn't Barkley play a few games with Hornecek in Philadelphia? It is unclear from the stats, but they were both on the 92 76ers. I would rather have a drunk Charles Barkley, who doesn't know anything, than someone who thinks they know something and is sober. Barkley needs to stay around, stay healthy and get help!

These folks don't know any more than you or I. Would you have guessed a blowout before the game started? I don't think Fred would have, and we all feel like he knows something.

The 76ers traded Barkley to The Phoenix Suns for Hornacek, Andrew Lang, and Tim Perry.

Did they meet on the plane trip from Philly to Phoenix. That was one of the stupidest trades of all time.
