A blog was reporting that Cabrera was about to be acquired by the White Sox. A few minutes later, a different blog reports this deal. Talk about an extreme high and an extreme low.

I honestly think the Marlins got the better of this deal. Miller is still VERY young and a legit top of the rotation guy, Willis hasn't been that for a few years now. Maybin is going to be a very solid, possible star and the other four sound like quality pickups... Detroit turned down a deal of the same package for Bedard and Tejada which would have been a much better deal for them if you don't factor in the money...

I have never understood the Florida Marlins. Sure they might have the better end of the deal in the next 10 years, but those players will just be traded away before then again. MAYBE they luck into another World Series before than to.

That's a pretty good line-up for the Detroit Tigers
