Wow. You could sit in the lower baseline for $35.00 a piece. Figured the Kentucky fans who bought up all the tickets early would not be going to the other session, but that is dirt cheap!!

Road trip!

I actually have to work this week(end) though. Boo.

The problem you'll have is the weekend session will not be dirt cheap. Assuming ISU wins, they would play in the same session with Kentucky so the market would no longer be flooded and it would be a hot ticket. The afternoon session on Thursday is the one to see if you want to go cheap.

You could totally just go for Thursday. Louisville is an EASY drive. 80 to 74 to 65 and it's about 10 hours total car time, with stops for gas. Go with a few buddies and switch off driving. You can leave after the game and still get home about 10pm.

Anybody else worried about the early start tomorrow? Likely to be a late-arriving crowd and possibly some empty seats. I'm maybe even more concerned for Saturday if ISU wins tomorrow. Same session as Kentucky but likely a lot of UK fans won't be at the early game. Hope ISU can keep up the energy in an environment that will be drastically different than Hilton or the Sprint Center.

If you can't get up for a tourney game, you have no reason to be there. I have no doubt the guys will be ready to go.

My dad saw at 11:30 am today tickets going for $10/each, saw 3 star express deal hotels on Priceline 2 miles from arena for $74, and saw that it was only a 7 hour drive from Eastern Iowa. Needless to say, he left by noon. Shoot, entire package was cheaper than buying a premium home game at Hilton.

Now, if only we didn't have a family business made up of just my dad and I and one of us had to stick back to watch the office.

I go to Louisville about 3-4 times a year for work. Of course, I couldn't schedule a client to meet me out there this year. Sucks!!!!

No doubt there will be A LOT of empty seats at the tip. Lot of Kentucky fans will not be attending this game. Kind of like the early games in K.C. without ISU, K State or KU playing in the first session.

I was thinking about this earlier but we are a team with some tournament hardened battle droids on it. Monte, Georges, Naz, Hogue have won multiple NCAA tourney games. There are not many teams that are going to have as many NCAA tourney games under their belts as we do.

I'd love to go, but I have to work. Power plant is in a refueling outage and I am fresh out of license class. I was in Louisville for the 2012 tourney and had a blast, save for some obnoxious Kentucky fans. Great environment, great arena, and a short trip for me from Cleveland. I ended up staying at a hotel a 5 minute drive from the arena and saved a bunch. I even managed to meet my cousin and her family who were living in Louisville at the time, for dinner one evening.

If I could manage to take a day off of work at my choosing, I'd be out the door right now, but alas, I can not.
