I've seen this posted a couple times on twitter and facebook today. Really hope this kid is trying to be satirical and just failed miserably...

There's your problems right there.

1. CprE major. Probably wrote this at 4:45am, with a 6am deadline because they procrastinate and hate writing.
2. From California. Probably thinks he is better than Iowans at most things, including satire.

The fact that you could read that and think it was serious worries me.

Not being able to control the weather is not a valid excuse. In fact, the lack of such an ability shows that the meteorology department is woefully underfunded.

One potential solution is to construct a giant glass dome covering all of campus

It sure pisses me off when amateur journalists writing for a student newspaper aren't as funny as I want them to be, too.

No amount of money will ever change that! Either way, I didn't read it all... didn't find it funny/entertaining.
