The Walking Dead

That roof guy is going to be a reoccurring issue for these folks I have a feeling.

You mean he survives and becomes their "ememy"? I could see it, especially since he's got the brother at the camp.

He does? I missed that somewhere. When the guy dropped the key, he kicked over the tool bag spilling the hack saw. Its only a matter of time till the roof guy figures that out.

One comment about the nookie early in the show. Seriously, I dont know if getting completely naked in the woods is a good idea during a zombie invasion. Plus you could get some poison ivy.

The body hack up and guts spread all over thing lost the wife. She likes the show, but that made her read a book for a bit. =)

Just got done reading the entire comic series. Interesting and enjoyable, for I have never liked comics.

We found out he had a brother in the previews for next week's episode.
The title of this episode was "Guts", quite appropriate.

I read the book when I was a kid and it was one of my favorites. The movie had nothing to do with the book, would have been better if it had been.

Which movie? There have been several, I am Legend was just one of them. Charles Heston starred in one, can't remember the name, Omega Man or something like that.

I was partial to the feet and hands tied around them with intestines. Nice touch prop crew, nice touch.

It seems like there's always a group in zombie movies

That's because there's always a weak link in a freaked out group - always someone who doesn't want to shoot their ex-uncle fred's walking corpse or someone who gets bit and doesn't tell anyone else until they turn into a zombie as well.

Correct. It is atrociously bad.

There was also a weak interpretation called I Am Omega or something like that. It starred the guy from Iron Chef America. The book I Am Legend was just a perfectly written book. No matter what the movie, it couldn't compare. I appreciate the effort of the Will Smith version, with them switching a lot of the story up, but it just didn't do it for me. Really, I could probably sit and read the short book in as long of time as I could watch the movie, so I'd just rather do that.

Omega Man sucked majorly, but I did enjoy I Am Legend.

Exactly. EVERY movie does it. It's to the point where I end up spending more time trying to guess which character will do which stereotypical thing than I do actually watching the movie. I think a movie following just a solo person would be a fresh take.

Assuming the solo person could stay sane and could adequately secure him or herself they would stand a better chance surviving longer than a small group does.

I'm quickly falling in love with this show. Just watched the 2nd episode on DVR.

I wonder if they are ever going to bring back the black guy and his kid from the first episode.

Neither one had anything to do with the book . The movie I am Legend was alright but I was hoping for a movie that followed the book. Omega Man was bad.

Umm, Newt in Aliens lived for weeks by herself against the Aliens let alone zombies. So yes, it might be easier to live with one person only.

The problem is that unless it is masterfully done it would probably be really, really boring or a straight action movie. People like interaction between characters.

Ever wonder why people in zombie movies don't just head north? I'd go hide out in a lake cabin in Minnesota. Even if the zombies could still move around, surely the cold would slow them way down. And when it froze them solid you could just go cutting heads off with a chainsaw.

Very true. And why not just hide out in general until all of the zombies fully decay.
