- why come in to town on I85 then?
- and why leave a rural area crawling with deadites to go to a large city?
I think it was because the father & son had heard that there was a military base there with survivors and they thought maybe there were still some safe areas there. Still a pretty dumb idea though.
Why is it in zombie movies/shows the survivors just wear regular clothing. Wouldn't you go raid the local highschool/sporting good store for football pads/helmets, etc. that way you could reduce the chance of being bit if you were attacked?

you wouldn't head towards what you were told was the most likely location of your wife and child if they survived?
I have discussed this situation with my kids and they understand that, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, it is best to avoid cities.
They mentioned how the center for disease control is in Atlanta and they were working on a cure also.
Resident Evil as someone stated earlier, are the only group of movies that I can think of that have zombified animals. Not that that is a good endorsement, those movies are god awful, and even worse when you consider how good the games are.
If that stuff ever happened you have to go about it believing there will be no cure. There never is. Even if there was a cure, you still have the mangled body zombies roaming around that would be an absolute mess to cure. They need to work on a virus blocker, not a cure.

Wow can't believe they put the show on Hulu. Usually AMC makes it difficult to watch their shows, not sure if they have ever had any on hulu.
