I have to aggree, it was a great ending to a great show. I was Horrified by Shane and his actions. I was in shock and had a tear in my eye. Vic basically ends up in a prision of his own, pushing papers. Not what I thought was going to happen.

It's kind of ironic, the entire series Vic fought to stay out of prison so he didn't lose everything, and he ended up losing everything and staying out of prison.

I'd be hard pressed to find something more disturbing than the last scenes with Shane. When they panned over the bed and Mara and Jackson were laying there, and he's holding the toy truck.....unbelievable, I can't think of anything on television more moving than that.

i guess the sick side of me was still hoping everyone got out ok from the strike team. guess i thought shane would end up dead, but was really hoping that vic found a way to keep ronnie out of jail. was a great ending, but in watching from day one, a part of me wanted them to get out of yet one more thing.

I'm with ya here. I was hoping that Vic and Ronnie would be free, but would have to live with the things that they had done. Ronnie's character developed over the years, but before this season, i thought maybe he would be the one taking his own life and Vic would find some way to put Shane away for Lem's death. I'm sure Vic would have loved for Shane to be in prison with Antoine.
The classic Vic smirk at the end was great. It was like "I can forget my family, friends, co-workers, etc as long as I have my pistol"

OK, what happened with the kid that Dutch was interrogating? They never cleared that up.

all Claudette said that he was going to break at some point, then they took down Ronnie. what did happen with that?

I was also kind of hoping for a big revealing scene with the kid as well but they did a decent job. Claudette said that he would break and she gave in and let Dutch do his thing. They had the conversation about serial killers living in LA and the kid said something about coming there to be famous. Claudette left the room and said "Get ready for your closeup" leading us to believe that it was a foregone conclusion that the kid was about to lose to Dutch like so many had before.

I couldn't believe that I was nearly in tears after seeing Shanes family like that. That was pretty powerful stuff.

The last scene with Vic was classic though. You could tell he was in hell. He had no family, no real friends, and a job that was going to torture him for the next 3 years. He reaches for the gun and for a split second you think something bad is going to happen. Then he gives the famous Vic look and walks out and you know he might be down but he certainly is going to find a way to get back on top.

Vic is the perfect anti-hero. He is my favorite tv character, hands down.

Beloved by almost everyone at the beginning of the show, and now has to live alone knowing that just about everyone hates him.

so last week the feds said they would get some sort of deal drawn up for Ronnie, when it looked like (to us) that there was no way in hell that they would. is anyone else surprised that Vic actually believed that Ronnie would get some sort of deal? Vic usually isn't that naive.

No... Vic was going to be strong until he saw his wife pinched... then he sold Ronnie out... and knew there was no chance for him.

that's true. he basically traded his family for Ronnie. I thought Ronnie was awesome at how pissed off he was. great acting. did you notice him in the background still struggling when Vic left the barn.

Yeah, Vic wronged Ronnie big time. I think Ronnie was my favorite character too. That sucked. Vic knew he was screwed, he should have done him a solid and helped him run. Vic selling out his close and loyal friend for a family that hates him, good choice there bud. Nice one.

I was hoping they would clear up the serial killer kid...that left me wondering.

Oh well, I guess I will have to find a new fave show...
