Good timing then for this article also on Facility Wars:

McC comment at end of article:Happy:

"Some of us will never have what Texas and Oklahoma and probably Nebraska have facility-wise," Iowa State coach Dan McCarney said. "But we've shown that we can be successful. We've shown it, and if we can I think there's obviously some other teams in our league that can do it."

To sum it up,
Pay to Play

Moral of the story is this: If you are a fan or ISU football or athletics in general, spend the $100 and joing the NCC. It really isn't that much money. Also, if you are under 30, you get half price season tix and a discount on NCC. Join up people. The minimum level is cheap and they even have payment plans available in case you don't want to give the whole $100 at one time. Sign up!!!

PS.. What is up with Texas Tech only graduating 53% of the student body??

Moral of the story: You also need a Boone Pickens type to match the Joneses.

Well, that would help too but JP's plan doesn't include any large windfall from a single wealthy source. His key to success is getting a larger number of people to give, even at the minimum level.
