I dislike him as much as the next guy but some of you need to take off the cardinal and gold glasses sometimes lol
Yeah I'm not sure we're off base here. I mean, could he realistically be like Cordell Pemsl and be a back-end rotational piece at another power conference school? Sure, he probably could. But Iowa is the only place he could go to at the power conference level and get the minutes he does. He could probably go to several MO Valley/Summit/MAC schools and play key contributor type minutes though, sure. His shooting prowess isn't that attractive IMO. He is a high volume and very streak shooter. I glanced at a lot of their box scores last year and he is almost always sort of hot or very cold. And all this without mentioning the absolute liability he is defensively. Maybe he can train with Georges this summer.

I’m not saying he’s a perfect player, but you are out of your mind if you don’t think he’d end up at a high major. If he played for Ohio State or somewhere like that, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. 10.6 ppg, 4.4 apg, 3.1 rpg, on 39% from 3 and you don’t think a single P6 team would take him. You can go ahead and list his deficiencies and trust me there are plenty but there are hundreds of players worse than him who ended up at high majors this year. It’s funny to joke about him but the fact that you guys seriously believe this blows my mind. Stop.

Ohio State didn't want Jorbo. Nobody did besides Iowa and UNI.

How do you miss the point so badly. What relevance do his offers out of HS have when he graduated in 2016
I don't think I'm missing anything. The only reason he put up the numbers he did at Iowa is because Fran wanted him out there in a high usage role. He did so at the expense of team defense. I truly think Jorbo's stat line and college basketball player experience would have been/would be nothing close to what it has been at Iowa had he played somewhere else.

Iowa was/is the ideal situation for him yes. The only P6 school that would want him? You’re higher than giraffe nuts if you truly believe that

Iowa being the ideal situation for J-Bo doesn't make him anymore valuable, it just proves that Fran is an incredibly lazy recruiter. Sure other P6 schools would recruit him out of the portal but his role would be incredibly small. I don't care if he scores 20, he's probably responsible for at least that much on the other end of the court.

I guess I just don't think there would be a long line for him. Could he be like CJ Frederick and go play 5-10 mpg at a Kentucky? Sure. I suppose he could. But I stand by what I said, in that there is no way he would go to another P6 school and be a real difference maker like he has had/still has an opportunity to do at Iowa.

Kentucky wouldn't want him but he would definitely have P6 interest as a shooter off the bench

He can be a perimeter shooting specialist but this is where the problem is:
Last 5 game minutes: 164 Jordan, 32 Joe.
