EIU is going to make a lot of money because of their media package down the road, but they spent in the past like a drunk sailor in port after months at sea. Barta left them with contracts to both Freerents and Mad Fran that are going to cost them millions to break, and they have a lot of non revenue sports sucking money out of the system that its going to take their new AD years to fix the mess.
He is so bad a basketball. It moves way too fast for him. He’s not great at football either. But there is just so much that goes undescribed with words during a basketball game he does. I think he forgets sometimes that his audience can’t see the game.
He's no Ron Gonder,but no one else that has broadcast Iowa games on the radio was like him either.
I can’t tell if that’s a step up from Jim Zabel’s “furious fight for the rebound” or not.
And that why he is a great fit for the Iowa fan base. Neither do 80 % of them.
